The Vitotherm CO detector type VCD2 with sampling pump monitors the flue gases from the burner for carbon monoxide. The detector is placed next to the flue gas duct and measures continuously during operation.
The system can be expanded with a flue gas valve circuit. This closes the flue gas valve to the CO2 collector as soon as CO is detected. This prevents CO from entering the CO2 distribution system when the burner starts.
In addition, an O2 controller (LT3) can be used to regulate the amount of oxygen in the fuel mixture. This increases efficiency and compensates for differences in gas quality. With a CO extension, the controller can recognize the point at which CO is produced and automatically adjust the oxygen level for optimal combustion.
