After snow and frost: what can we learn from the first cold spell?

In recent weeks, we’ve experienced snow, persistent cold, and now the thaw. For many systems, this was the first real test of the winter. 

Guidelines for maintenance (PO) and inspection (PI-EBI)

SCIOS has drawn up clear guidelines for inspections.

Installations with a gas connection (standard fuels):

  • Installations with a capacity of less than 100 kW are not required to be SCIOS-inspected; these fall under CO legislation.
  • Installations with a capacity greater than 100 kW must be inspected every four years in accordance with SCIOS regulations.
